My retail DVD is very scratched and I want to buy it on Steam so I can download from anywhere I go, but I dont want to buy a version that isnt patchable or moddable. Steam version is always up to date. You don't need to patch. Well for me i had to go into some websites and download official patches as Steam didnĀ“t patch it up to full( tho i got the auto update option).
Trapcode Form 2 there. Originally posted by:Guys, can you confirm if the Steam version is patchable like the retail one without extra work? People have been patching the steam version since I can remember. But since the current version is 4.12.2m, you won't really have to worry about that atm. Thanks for the info, I already got it:). Originally posted by:Ah. I was looking into HSFX. Thats a pretty big download. HSFX adds (digitized) sounds, more flyable aircraft, modified/improved graphics, additional maps/ships/objects and more assets for map/mission builders. Though TD has done some nice, subtle things to improve on the original graphics as well as the stock sounds.
As per TD, you can also add third party digitized sounds ('Online Sounds') and activate it easily and still be considered 'stock'. Simple as copy/paste and flick a switch in your settings. If you really are into the World War II aviation genre, there is nothing out there that has the all encompassing scope of this gem of a sim/game.
